| Term | Meaning |

| Control plane | Verabase Cloud: platform-admin and platform-api. Customers, licences, grants, health. No clinical data. |
| Tenant | One customer, with one database. Usually one hospital group. |
| Organisation | A legal or management group inside a tenant. |
| Facility | A physical site where care happens. Has its own timezone. |
| Licence plan | What a tenant has bought: Starter, Standard, Professional or Enterprise. It caps which modules can be granted. |
| Module grant | Turning a licensed module on for a tenant. Grants become the tenant server's installation plan. |
| Facility Admin | The hospital's own administrator in facility-web. The first one is created at activation. |
| Queue | Today's patients: Waiting → With nurse → With doctor → Done. |
| Visit / encounter | One episode of care. Notes, vitals and orders hang off it. |
| MRN | The hospital's local patient number (e.g. MRN-000065). |
| NEWS2 | National Early Warning Score 2. Computed from RR, SpO₂, temperature, systolic BP, heart rate and AVPU. |
| SOAP | Subjective · Objective · Assessment · Plan note structure. |
| Allergy status | An explicit statement: No known allergies, or recorded allergies. "Not recorded" means nobody asked. |
| Allergy gate | A prescribing check that refuses a drug matching a recorded allergy by name or drug class unless a reason is given. |
| MAR | Medication Administration Record: the ward drug chart and round. |
| Verification (pharmacy) | The pharmacist's check of dose, route and frequency before dispensing. |
| Verification (lab) | A supervisor's release of a technician's result. |
| Dispense queue | Prescriptions waiting at the pharmacy counter. Filled automatically when Provider orders integration is on. |
| Kobo | 1/100 of a naira. Some billing inputs are in kobo today (gap). |
| Audit trail | Tamper-evident, hash-chained record of actions. The platform has one; each hospital has its own. |

Platform roles
The control-plane seed creates 6 platform roles and 49 permissions. The walks in this guide use platform_super_admin. A least-privilege matrix for support and implementer roles is on the catalogue (CP-06 onward).

22 modules are in the catalogue. Dependencies are enforced at grant time (CP-02 step 4).
